Several Infrastructure projects of NHAI, Airports, Indian Railways, Defence, Mines, Irrigation department, State Departments etc. are going in various parts of the country, which may cross the transmission lines of POWERGRID in their route alignment. As a result, the existing transmission lines need to be diverted.
The system is for facilitating the Project Developers who can now submit their transmission line diversion requests through this Line Diversion Management System (LDMS). This shall result in optimisation of execution period.
Diversion of transmission lines being undertaken by POWERGRID through two modes:
- Diversion of transmission line by the Infrastructure Project Developer under the supervision of POWERGRID @ 2.5% of the project cost. Consultancy fees shall be payable by the Project Developer.
- Diversion of transmission line by the Owner of the transmission line, i.e., POWERGRID @ 15% consultancy fees, payable by the Project Developer.
