Inauguration of 33kV Pishum SS
Inauguration of 33kV Pishum SS by Hon’ble Minister of Power, Manipur, Shri Th. Biswajit Singh under NERPSIP by Powergrid.
Implementation of this project (as central sector scheme, with funding on a 50:50 basis by GoI and World Bank) would strengthen the intra-state transmission and distribution infrastructure of six states of the northeastern region (Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura); improve its connectivity to the upcoming load centers, and thus would extend the benefits of the grid-connected power to all the consumers. The project would also provide the required grid connectivity to such villages and towns of the states, where the development of distribution systems at the downstream level has been taking place under Gol sponsored RGGVY/ APDRP/ R-APDRP schemes. NERPSIP covers many transmission and distribution lines and sub-stations at 33kV, 66kV, 132kV, and 220kV voltage levels.
The following element i.e. 33/11kV Pishum Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) (2x10 MVA) inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of Power, Manipur, Shri Thongam Biswajit Singh under North-Eastern Region Power System Improvement Project (NERPSIP) by Powergrid on 27-09- 2021.
The GIS at Pishum, Imphal, will cater to the power requirement of the surrounding villages of Thongju Part I/II, Kyamgei, Pheijaleitong, Koirou, Ningomthong, Kha Naorem Leikai, Canchipur, Langthabal Kunja, Bashikhong.
