Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (POWERGRID), a Navratna CPSE, signed a MoU on 12th July, 2016 with The Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (A premier National Institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India) for imparting Skill Development Training to 560 Nos. for underprivileged / unemployed youth of the society, residing primarily near POWERGRID’s areas of operation. The trainings will be conducted on residential basis in the CIPET Institutes located at Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Lucknow (UP), Bhubaneshwar (Odisha), Guwahati (Assam), Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh), Hajipur (Bihar) & Mysore (Karnataka) under its CSR initiative. The MoU was signed by Shri Atul Trivedi, Executive Director (ESMD, CSR & LA), POWERGRID and Shri S. Sugumar, Principal Director, CIPET at POWERGRID’ Corporate Office, Gurgaon.
