POWERGRID’s human capital comprises of talented professionals broadly in the field of Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Telecom, Information Technology, Civil, Mechanical, Industrial Engg.), Management (Finance & Accounts, Human Resources), Legal, & Public Relations selected through open competition on All India basis and from the Premiere Technology & Management Institutes of the Country. Since commencement of commercial operation in 1992, POWERGRID is almost regularly inducting fresh talent in form of Engineer Trainees (ET) / Officer Trainees on all India basis.

On Induction, the ETs/OTs are subjected to one year of complete training involving class room training, On Job Training, Behavioural skill development, Role Playing, Management games, Yoga, Seminars, Talks by eminent persons, Industrial visits, Management module, sports, cultural events & mentoring with an objective to support them in their journey of transition to become future leaders. Job rotation, planned Training & Development interventions, focussed HR interventions have facilitated in grooming and nurturing these talents who continue to be strong driving forces of the organisation.
